About TURN2

Barbara Perry developed the TURN2 in 2004, while caring for her ailing parents. During her father’s stay in a convalescent home, she noticed that it took two to three aids to maneuver her father on the bed. Held in place by the aids, cleaning, bathing or bed changing became a very traumatic event. She began to devise better ways to accomplish this type of care maintenance. After the loss of her father, her mother had a serious fall that caused her to become bed ridden. Being turned or touched by the hospital personnel caused great pain and discomfort for Barbara’s mother. After her hospital stay, she returned home to be cared for by her daughters. It was at this point when Barbara invented the first TURN2 Proto-type to be used on her mother. This made the task of cleaning, bathing and changing bedding for her mother achievable by just one person.

After the loss of her mother, Barbara decided that this product could help and be useful in the treatment of bed-ridden patients both at home and in hospital care situations. The simplicity of the TURN2 enables the tasks of cleaning patients, changing bedding and holding patients in position for bedsores to be efficiently performed by one person with very little effort. With its unique design to stay on the bed and under the patient at all times, the TURN2 is a non-disruptive and less invasive way to care for a patient.

Today the TURN2 is a patented product with a FDA Class One approval. Furthermore, with new ways always being discovered to utilize this great product, several different material types and sizes are being created for use with burn patients, bariatric patients and much more.
